The Fruit of Obedience: Letting Go, Trusting God, and Real Ministry Beyond the Stage.Jake shares how God convicted him to end a year-and-a-half relationship he wanted to stay in. Wisdom in his life told him to wait, yet he misunderstood his desires for God’s desires. He shares how obeying God, —though painful—was followed by new ministry opportunities, peace, and what he calls the “fruit of obedience.” He teaches that God may ask believers to lay down relationships, titles, and desires to expose idols and keep Jesus first, pointing to Jesus’ obedience and calling listeners to trust God even when they don’t understand. He also reframes ministry as humble, behind-the-scenes service and love for neighbors—caring for the hurting, widows, orphans, and the overlooked—rather than chasing stages, platforms, and highlight reels.00:00 Obedience In Breakup02:00 Welcome And Prayer04:18 Testimony And Calling04:59 Obedience In Breakup07:32 New Doors Opened09:35 Fruit Of Obedience11:08 Idols And Priorities14:56 Ministry Beyond Stages18:32 Matthew 25 Reality20:37 Altars Over Platforms30:48 Great Commission Charge34:21 Final Encouragement36:42 Closing Prayer And Outro#breakup #jesus #christian

In this episode of the Jake Secor Podcast, Jake delivers a bold, fire-filled message for young people who have ever felt too young, too unqualified, or too unknown to be used by God. Drawing from Jeremiah 1, Jake unpacks why God's call isn't stopped by your age — and why your excuses are just that: excuses. He challenges Gen Z to stop waiting to be "sent" somewhere and start being bold right where they are — in their homes, schools, friendships, and communities. Plus, a surprise phone call from Jake's dad brings a powerful word on intimacy with God over religious activity. This episode will light a fire in your bones.

What if your encounter with God changed nothing? Many Christians cry at the altar, feel conviction, and experience powerful moments in God's presence—but leave unchanged. In this episode, we dive into Malachi 2 and confront a hard truth: God is not looking for emotional moments that never produce obedience. True encounters lead to transformation. In this conversation, we'll discuss:• Why we've exchanged repentance for remorse• The difference between crying at the altar and dying at the altar• What it means to have equity with God and produce fruit for His KingdomThe question isn't whether you've had an encounter with God.The question is: Has your encounter produced fruit?📖 Scriptures:Malachi 2:13-16Malachi 2:5-6Matthew 25John 15:5If this episode challenged you, share it with someone who needs to hear it.#jakesecorpodcast #heaven #jesus #christian #bible

Rescuing Child Brides in Uganda: Alex Mwesigwa on Obedience, Prayer & Real Christianity | Jake Secor Podcast
Jake Secor interviews Ugandan Christian leader and psychologist Alex Mwesigwa, who shares giving his life to Jesus in 2007, studying theology and psychology, attending Liberty on scholarship, and obeying God’s call to return to Uganda. Alex leads Banji Holistic Mission, which rescues girls as young as 10–14 from illegal forced marriages, works with police, and houses and disciples about 75 children in Kampala with food, education, counseling, and long-term care. He recounts children abandoned at dumpsters, describes the prevalence of witchcraft and spiritual oppression, and explains using Scripture-centered counseling to restore identity. Alex contrasts American denominational divisions and comfort with Uganda’s urgent reliance on prayer. He also outlines initiatives including reusable sanitary pads made by former prostitutes trained in sewing, microfinance to prevent child marriage, wells, and building Victor Crown International School to help fund the ministry.

How to Be Set Free From Anxiety (Biblical Steps for Gen Z)
In this podcast, Jake addresses Gen Z about anxiety, teaching from Matthew 6:25–34 that worry can’t add to life and that God values and provides for people more than the birds and lilies. He urges listeners to focus on today, trust God with the future, and “seek first the kingdom of God,” warning that anxiety can keep people from taking action in what God has called them to do. He shares a personal story of intense pain from a severe skin condition breakout. He describes how God reminded him that Jesus understands suffering and anxiety, including Jesus’ anguish in Gethsemane. Jake challenges the habit of labeling oneself as anxious, citing Proverbs 18:21 about the power of words, and points to Philippians 4:6–7 to give anxiety to God through prayer with thanksgiving.

How to Break Free From Pornography & Sexual Sin (1 Corinthians 6) Jake addresses pornography and sexual immorality as an often-avoided struggle in the church, teaching from 1 Corinthians 6 that believers’ bodies are the Lord’s and temples of the Holy Spirit, and therefore must flee sexual sin. He shares his own addiction from ages 14–17 and cites statistics claiming about 61% of people have viewed pornography, arguing the devil uses secrecy and shame to keep people bound. Secor emphasizes that freedom requires fleeing temptation (including removing access), confessing, and running to God’s presence rather than trying to fight sin alone. He urges daily Scripture, prayer, and worship, points to Jesus’ Good Friday sacrifice as the “price” paid for believers, and leads listeners in repentance, a commitment to not return, and a prayer for deliverance and lasting freedom.Don’t forget to Subscribe & Share with A Friend!00:00 Porn Is Not Normal01:20 Podcast Intro And Topic03:14 Scripture On Sexual Sin05:08 My Addiction Story05:52 You Are Not Alone07:31 Breaking Shame Cycle10:03 Porn Distorts God11:27 Flee Dont Flirt13:35 Jesus Is In Room16:33 Need Holy Spirit Power17:21 Presence Over Willpower21:23 Flip Switch To Light24:28 Bought At A Price28:53 Practical Replace Habits30:21 Seek Jesus Daily31:24 Prayer For Freedom34:41 Final Encouragement#jesus #freedom #christian
